DSP Lab Course Experience
In the DSP labs, we mainly focused on designing various filters. In the initial labs, we were asked to finalize on a paper that we were supposed to implement. After having the paper checked, we had to review a few papers and patents related to the finalized paper. Soon after, we focused on designing filters. Initially, we worked on IIR filters using two approaches, the first being the IIM method and the second BLT method. Next up we started designing linear phase FIR filters using two approaches again, Window method and Frequency Sampling Method. The next experiment focused on multi-rate signal processing. So in these experiments, we understood the working of up-sampler and down-sampler by observing the graphs that we attained. Finally, the last filter we worked with was the Weiner filter.
